Red Bell Pepper Chutney

Red Bellpepper chutney

DIRECTIONS

 

1) Wash the Red Bell Pepper and cut it. Remove the seeds and dice it into small cubes

2) Cut the onion into small pieces

3) Heat up a tablespoon of oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, add the channa dal, urad dal and let them get golden brown color

4)Add the coriander seed, red chili, and cumin seed. Roast it till the coriander seed slightly gets brown in color

5) Add the onion,garlic, and ginger. Saute it for a minute.

6) Add the Red Bell pepper, tamarind, and salt. Saute it till the red bell pepper gets tender. Switch off the flame

7) Let it gets cool, and grind this in a blender into a nice consistency

8) Heat up a tablespoon of oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, add the mustard and urad dal seeds. When the mustard seeds crackle, add the asafoetida and curry leaf. Add this to the chutney and mix this well
