DIRECTIONS

1) Cut the white pumpkin/Winter Melon into small cubes. Heat up a small cup of water with turmeric powder. When the water is hot, add the winter melon and  cook it with 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Don’t drain the remaining water if there is any

2) Grind the coconut, green chilli, toor dal, cumin seeds, and raw rice into a slightly coarse paste. Then add this mixture with the butter milk along with a required amount of salt

3) Heat up the pan with a table spoon of coconut oil. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and urad dal. When the mustard seeds start to splutter, add the red chilli, asafoetida, and curry leaves

4) Add the pumpkin (winter melon) and cook it for 2 minutes

5) Add the buttermilk mixture with a pinch of turmeric powder. When the mixture starts to foam, switch off the flame. THE MIXTURE SHOULD NOT BOIL
